The Egyptians did not stay completely to themselves. They interacted with the first Greek civilization called the Minoans. Which is where we come with the Greeks. The civilization of the Greeks was first started by the Minoans. They had fine lives and were very rich. They lived on the island of Crete. As time went by the Minoans became over crowded. so they sailed to what is now Greece. There they met the Mycenaeans. the were poor and lived in mud houses. So the Minoans taught them everything they knew. In return the Mycenaeans wiped out the Minoans. The rest is history.

The Egyptians used horses for warfare.
Coming soon: Quizzes and games.
Okay, after a couple of months of taking a break from the blog I'm back. With new Egypt history information. It is proposed that Egyptians built their pyramids at an angle to where the top of the pyramid was under or at an angle to a star or the sun.

The story of Cleopatra

Cleopatra took to the throne at the age of 18. And married her little brother. 2 years into their marriage and rule over Egypt Cleopatra's little brother overthrew her. Cleopatra fled in terror into ancient Sudan. There she gathered an army big enough to overthrow her brother and take back her empire.

Meanwhile Julius Caesar having heard of this feud between these two siblings went down to Egypt to settle the fight. Julius was welcomed to the palace but Cleopatra was not. She had to sneak in. She was brought into the palace rolled up in a rug meant to be a present for Julius.

When the rug was presented the rug was pulled away and there stood a beautiful Cleopatra. Cleopatra's little brother called for the guards. Julius handed Cleopatra a sword and together they won. Cleopatra's little brother fled in terror. Her brother boarded a boat where it tipped over and he drowned in the Nile.

Cleopatra and Julius spent much time together to where one night they conceived a son. Then Julius had to go back to Rome. There in Rome on the 15th of March Julius Caesar was killed. Cleopatra was devastated. Her son had no father.

Then there was Mark Antony. A close friend to Julius. Mark Antony sent for Cleopatra to see what her relationship was with Julius. But Cleopatra would not come. She was determined to show that no one would boss her around.

Finally after many weeks Cleopatra went to Rome. When she arrived Mark Antony was stunned. The riches she had. Her beauty was beyond compare. Mark Antony fell in love with Cleopatra at first sight.

Cleopatra the same. After a few short months the two were married. Mark Antony divorced his first wife and kicked his now ex wife and children out of a house he owned in Rome. Together Mark Antony and Cleopatra had three children together and Mark Antony went even farther by adopting Cleopatra's eldest son. He even gave them land from Rome.

Octavius  was furious. That's when war broke out. Cleopatra and Mark Antony fought bravely but couldn't win. Cleopatra fled to her tomb that subjects had been making. That's when Mark Antony got a fake message that Cleopatra was dead.

Then Mark Antony did the unthinkable. He tried to kill himself. That's when Mark Antony got the real message that Cleopatra had only fled to her tomb in terror. But it was too late. Mark Antony was bleeding internally and only had a few minutes of life left.

Therefore he was taken to Cleopatra's tomb where he died in her arms. Cleopatra surrendered to Octavius but begged him to let her throw a funeral. He agreed. After the funeral Octavius killed Cleopatra and buried her with Mark Antony. That's the story of Cleopatra.

The Story of Osiris

In the land of Ancient Egypt two brothers lived in a palace together as rulers of Egypt. There names were Osiris and Set. Set represented everything evil and Osiris represented everything good. The people loved Osiris and hated Set. overtime Set became envious of Osiris.

Then one day Set built a beautiful chest. Once the chest was done Set threw a party and invited all of his friends and family. Set said who ever could fit into the chest could take it home. What Set did is he made the chest to where only Osiris could fit in the chest. When Osiris got into the chest Set had his servants put the lid down and lock the chest.

When Osiris's wife had her back turned Set had his servants take the chest to the Nile River and dump the chest in it. When Isis heard about this she was heart broken. So she set off to look for the chest. One day the chest landed up on shore in the country of Babylon near a tree. Over time the tree grew and the tree's roots surrounded the chest.

One day The King of Babylon was hunting and came across the tree. The king thought the tree was so beautiful he had it cut down and made into a pillar for his palace. One day Isis Came to the land of Babylon. She came across where the tree had been and saw chips of the chest that held her husband. Isis asked for directions to the palace.

When Isis got to the palace she asked the queen if she could become the queen's son's nanny. The queen quickly gave her the job. Over time Isis grew fond of the prince. One day Isis decided to make the prince a god. The queen came upon Isis and confronted her.

Since the spell had been interrupted in couldn't be redone. Isis became furious and revealed herself as an Egyptian goddess. The queen became frightened. The queen offered everything she owned to please Isis. Isis asked for the wooden pillar and the queen gave the pillar to Isis.

Isis used her magic to take the chest out of the pillar. Isis took the chest back to Egypt and hid it among tall grass. One day Set was out hunting and discovered the chest. Set took Osiris's body and chopped it up and hid the pieces all through out Egypt. Isis and her sister-in-law looked for the pieces of Osiris.

When they found the pieces they put up pillars. They looked all over Egypt but couldn't find all the pieces. With the help of the god Anubis they breathed life into Osiris. And together Isis and Osiris conceived a son and named him Horus. Osiris became god of the underworld and crops.

When Horus grew up he promised to avenge his father's death. One day Horus and Set engaged in a battle. Horus won, but during the battle he lost one of his eyes. Horus banished Set to the deserts of Egypt. Horus then became king of Egypt.

And that is the story of Osiris.
